Nicole Edwards

Nicole Edwards | Associate

Born and bred in Balclutha, Nicole joined Shand Thomson after attending South Otago High School and graduating from the University of Otago.  She was appointed an Associate of Shand Thomson in 2022.

Nicole has worked mostly alongside Jim Johnstone on a wide range of assignments - accounting, tax, business planning and small business set ups.

Nicole has a natural talent with IT solutions for small businesses and has experience in almost all of the options available. Xero certified, she leads our in-house Xero team delivering implementation advice and support to businesses transitioning to Xero and the many add on options.

Nicole also is a member of the Otago special interest taxation group and she plans and implements our in-house training for IT and technical matters.

Nicole was awarded CA status with CAANZ in 2017.

Nicole has a lot of outside interests - she completed her first Spring Challenge in 2018. Nicole is a proud volunteer and committee member for Blessed Box, a charitable trust which supports postpartum mothers in the Clutha District.

When she has spare time Nicole enjoys being with her friends and family, and weekends in Cromwell biking the Dunstan Trail.
